Last night while enjoying the cool front that chased away our 90+ temps, Nathanael and I lit some candles, cuddled on the couch, and watched . . . curling!?! We have not watched a single other event in the Winter Olympics but have found ourselves for the last two nights completely engrossed in men's curling. Neither of us had ever seen the game played before. Last night while watching we even looked up the rules on the internet and were fascinated by the strategy, the sportsmanship, and the shoes! We've even chosen our favorites. Nathanael roots for Sweden who, unfortunately, after last night will contend for bronze, and I'm partial to Canada who goes for gold against Norway. The Norwegians should be out based solely on their choice of pants! Both bronze and gold competitions take place on the 27th. So, if you're looking for a cheap date, grab some candles, a cup of coffee, and snuggle up for curling. For schedule and helpful information, check out this page.

Haha. We watched one night of womens' curling and my DH was super into it. I could not for the life of me figure it out. Too much brain work!

Curling??? Now hockey I could see, but curling??? Well, if you have to watch curling, I'm guessing lighting candles would help :). Love, mom
