During the "break" at church this year when we only have one service and no Sunday School, we wanted to try something new. So, we decided to have a modified vacation Bible school for the Junior Church children,
Cosmic City: Explore the Awesome Wonder of God (David C. Cook). The kids (ages 4-9) are with us for the entire service as we learn about God through dramas, science experiments, games, crafts, songs, scripture, and snacks. While the preparation for this five-week, space-themed program has been a bit hectic, I wanted to share some pics from the first session this past Sunday. It was so fun!

The two hours flew by, and we even had trouble fitting everything in, so we'll have to modify for next week. It was a blast!

What a fun and informative learning time for kids! Don't you think that kids learn best and retain more when they're "having a blast" and don't even realize that they're learning?? Kudos to you and Vanessa for expressing your love to Jesus by serving His little ones! Love you, Mom
